Shannon Henry, MSW, LICSW

Edina Therapy

Walking through life can often feel lonely, challenging and stressful. When facing life’s transitions, we might experience sadness, sleep disturbance, loss of interest in things we normally enjoy, and anxiety and worry that seems overwhelming. Often, we feel that we have to keep it to ourselves and muscle through. I believe that when our stories are heard and received with compassion, we are offered some relief. I will always endeavor to receive your emotions, your pain, your confusion, your grief and anger with grace, and will use my training to gently guide and partner with you to rediscover the life that you want to live.

Most of my clinical experience has been in a healthcare setting working along side physicians identifying the mind body connection between our emotions and mental health and our physical health. I have worked with adults and seniors helping them adjust to life transitions, stress, depression, anxiety, maladaptive coping, traumatic death and grief.

I am a licensed graduate social worker with a Master’s in social work from St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas.
