Nate Penz, M.A.

Work, school, family, sports, and other life circumstances can be unpredictable and overwhelming. When life throws us curveballs, it is normal to feel helpless, hopeless, and isolated; however, you do not have to tackle those feelings alone. I am here to welcome you into a safe environment in which you will be heard and understood as we share in your life journey.

I work with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life stressors, and have a special interest in sports psychology and Type 1 Diabetes counseling. If you feel a social stigma related to seeking help, I can be your outlet and your guide. The challenges you face are real, and I can help you navigate them.

I recognize the obstacles you face are unique. To meet your individual needs, I am committed to using a personalized approach to counseling. I aim to discover and highlight your strengths and equip you with skills and resources that will help you when you walk out the door. Together, we can face life’s biggest curveballs.

I received my Masters of Arts from the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of St. Thomas and am under supervision while working towards independent clinical licensure.
