Jordan Kocon, M.A.

Counseling for depression, anxiety, & coping skills.
In life, I believe that coming into therapy is one the most empowering experiences.  I admire the tremendous courage it takes to walk into an unfamiliar environment and explore one’s mental health.
Therapy starts before walking into a clinic.  It starts with making a choice to seek out help, the scheduling that first appointment, and taking those first steps into a mental health clinic. My goal is to provide a safe, and welcoming environment for every person entering my office.
I have learned how to use a variety of different therapeutic approaches to address mental health concerns.  I use strengths-based in my clinical orientation, and integrate cognitive-behavioral techniques.  I have experience working with ADHD, anxiety, anger, depression, self-esteem, parent-child relationships.  I am also a bilingual speaker, fluent in both English and Spanish, and can provide therapy in either language.
As a recent Master’s recipient, I am a pre-licensed independent counselor. I work under the supervision of a licensed therapist as I move towards completing independent licensure requirements.
