Amy Babcock, M.S.

Amy Babcock is a great therapist!

Sometimes in life we face challenges that make it feel like we are climbing Mt. Everest, and our struggles are like 500 lbs of gear we are carrying alone. Therapy is a place where you can come to unload some of those challenges and let someone help you carry some of the load alongside you. As a therapist, I want to help you navigate the difficult situations that arise in day to day life in order to help you overcome the obstacles that feel overwhelming.

When you come to see me, therapy is a place where you should feel safe, heard, and supported. Everyone deserves a place to tell their story without feeling judged or ashamed, and I strive to help create a place where you feel open and welcomed to doing just that. I work with children and adolescents, families, young adults, adults, and seniors. My experience includes working with children and adolescents who have histories of abuse, dealing with emotional difficulties (including anxiety and depression), and working with life transitions. I have worked with many diverse populations and provide mindful care to my clients.

I completed my Masters degree at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and I am a Mental Health Practitioner working toward my licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) under supervision. In therapy, my main goal is to help individuals and families become self-aware and understand their worth in order to help them move past barriers to hopefully reach their full potential.
